看來,這句詞是一幅淒涼的圖畫，經歴這光景的人是最可憐了。在曠野旅行的人，最希望快快走完最後一程回家休息。但走到將近家門時，却不得其門而入，因走遲一步，城門已關閉，只得留在城外露宿。沒有保護，無人關懷，四周狼嚎虎嘯，要在驚恐中渡其漫漫長夜。說不定今晚可能成為餓虎和豺狼的裹腹物！

    感謝創造天地萬物和我們的━天父，因祂愛我們的大愛，藉着祂的兒子耶穌基督的降世，為我們的罪代死、復活和升天，為我們預備了天上的天家，給我們作為最後的歸宿。天父希望每個人都信靠祂，而快快回天家，不要在天家門外，將來和魔鬼一同在地獄裏，受永遠的痛苦！

This verse depicts a sad picture. Any one who experiences this situation is most pitiful. It is the very hope of travelers to be able to go home and rest after the last destination. If one is almost home but discovers it is too late since the city gate is already closed, he will then have to spend the night outside the city. There is no protection, no one who cares; only the sounds of howling wolves and roaring tigers surround him. His long night will have to be spent amid fear and dread. Perhaps he himself will even become food for the hungry animals!

Every person living on earth is like a traveler who needs a safe place to rest. What is your place of rest, the destination of your life-long journey?

Thanks be to our Heavenly Father, the Creator of the universe! Because of His great love for us, through the death and resurrection of His only Son Jesus Christ, He has prepared for us a home in heaven. Our Heavenly Father hopes we can trust Him and hurriedly return home, so we don’t have to be outside the door of the heavenly home and suffer in hell eternally with Satan.
